Sales Director


Role Description

We’re looking for a seasoned digital sales professional, interested in playing a large role at our emerging online media company. You will be the primary sales contact for our new online lead generation division, from prospecting to close. If you thrive in an autonomous sales role, have a gift for establishing & cultivating relationships, and want to make a big impact, we’re looking for you.

As Sales Director, you’ll impact the growth of our team by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with lead buyers, direct clients, and digital partners, to grow your book of business. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills, mentoring & managing skills, along with a drive to sell. This role will give you the unique opportunity to join a growing company in a decision-making role, define the future of our sales channel, and build your own team.


  • Grow our business by prospecting, onboarding, launching, monitoring, and scaling new client relationships to form your own dedicated client base (via Email/Phone/IM/some Travel)
  • Meet & exceed your monthly sales targets
  • Collaborate directly with Operations and CRM support to setup & launch new projects
  • Forecast your sales performance on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Analyze & present sales performance to senior leadership on a regular cadence
  • Build and maintain an intimate knowledge of online lead generation & the performance marketing industry to identify trends and opportunities
  • Mentor, train, and manage new sales Account Managers
  • Represent Arroyo Media at trade shows & conferences


  • Firm understanding & background in performance marketing & lead generation
  • A history of hitting sales targets & maintaining successful client relationships
  • Ability to create, forecast, track, and report on goals and objectives
  • Experienced and comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Strong 1 on 1 presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable mentoring & managing small teams of entry-level salespeople
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or manipulating & analyzing simple data sets
  • 5+ years of professional experience at a media, advertising, content, tech, or digital marketing company, within a client-facing role.
